Welcome to Lochside
Farm Cottages, spectacularly located in peaceful, rolling countryside
and overlooking the Lowther Hills and the Upper Nith Valley. Our two
lovingly converted cottages adjoin the main farmhouse.
The Dairy sleeps 6
people with one double and two twin rooms, plus a cot. The Granary
sleeps five people, with one double and a large triple room, plus a cot.
There is plenty to
see and do in Sanquhar and the surrounding areas.
For keen golfers, the Sanquhar Golf Club is close
by and for the kids, The Fun Pool offers swimming facilities for all
abilities. Sanquhar Tollbooth Museum tells the story of the local area.
The area is ideal
for walkers as the Southern Upland Way runs close by our cottages. For
Cyclists there are miles upon miles of paths and roads waiting to be
explored, and for Anglers The Upper Nithsdale Angling Association beat
covers fishing at the top end of the river. It has over 50 named pools,
with a nice mixture of rocky, fast flowing streams, coupled with long
slow flats which allow it to be fished with all methods. It takes its
share of salmon and grilse, but it is best known for its sea trout
