The MacDonald House enjoys a superb situation in one of the most picturesque areas of Inverness, on the banks of the River Ness opposite Inverness Cathedral.

Number 5 is a lovely comfortable holiday home for up to six people, and well behaved dogs are welcome.  This semi-detached traditional cottage dating back to 1800s is situated in a rural woodland location only 4 miles from the seaside town of Nairn, and 16 miles from the Highland Capital Inverness. 

The Cottage has a Troutmaster fishery (Geddes) 10 mins walk away, there is championship golf available in Nairn and Castle Stuart is a short drive down the road.  The magnificent Highlands provide some of the best walking in the UK and are just a 30 minute drive from the cottage and the Scottish west coast is only an hour by car. 

Please note that the cottage has low combed ceilings in the first floor rooms.

The Shepherds Cottage at Fasnakyle is an attractive, single storey cottage which sleeps up to 5 people. It enjoys views over the River Glass and up Glen Affric. and is set in its own garden beside the river.

Being part of the Fasnakyle Estate there is trout fishing available on Loch Benevian and during May, June and July on the Fasnakyle stretch of the River Glass

Located on the road to Glen Affric and is perfectly situated as a base to explore the local hills. Glen Affric boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the Scottish Highlands and benefits from well maintained trails managed by the Forestry Commission.  There are numerous marked trails throughout the area suiting all levels of fitness and enthusiasm

The area has long been popular with walkers and hosts no fewer than 32 of the Munroes, (Scotland's highest mountains).  For the more adventurous the "West to East Coast Walk" provides some challenging walking
