This
recently modernised house is located in the village of
Lochboisdale, South Uist.
This island is renowned for
its abundance of freshwater lochs and fine fishing; for
bird-watching, shooting, hill-walking, and also golfing.
The golf course, in nearby
Askernish, has been confirmed as being originally planned by
Tom Morris. Plans are being considered to re-instate it to
its former glory.
The island has a rich
heritage of Gaelic culture and every year, the musical
festival Ceolas takes place in early July, which attracts an
influx of visitors who wish to sample a little of the
language and the musical heritage, which pervades the island
way of life.
The house itself has one
double, one twin and one single bedroom, with a
well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge where guests
can relax after a busy day's fishing or touring.
