Gillis is a historic house near the city centre. Our 20 bedrooms are
newly refurbished, with 18 ensuite and 2 private bathrooms. We have
singles, doubles, twins and family rooms. One twin room is assisted
wheelchair accessible. Prices from £30 a person, continental help

Our large garden, with its apple trees, offers complete tranquillity.
Gillis is within walking distance of shops, restaurants and pubs,
cinemas and theatre. There is a good bus service to Princes Street and

Overhailes Farm is situated in the heart of East Lothian between the
quiet village of East Linton and the historic town of Haddington. The
farm is now mainly arable, though we have some cattle during the Winter
months. The Wright family have farmed at Overhailes since the 1950's.
We
can offer 4 star bed and breakfast rooms all with ensuite bathrooms for
up to 6 people
We can also accommodate up to 16 people across our
3 self catering cottages (including camp beds, which we provide).
Cottages 2 & 3 now share an interconnecting (lockable) door so we can
offer greater flexibility when booking. We've also developed a games

This charming
3-star country cottage is only 10 miles from Edinburgh and has a
secluded garden surrounded by beautiful countryside. A pub, a grocery
shop and a take-away restaurant are a 10 minutes walk away.
The cottage
sleeps five plus a baby, (6 with a put-up bed). It is comfortable, well
equipped and spacious with an open fire and full central heating. Short
breaks are welcome during off-peak seasons. Children are most welcome.
It is an ideal
location for walkers, cyclists or horse-riders, an excellent touring
base with easy access to Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders
Two footpaths
intersect right outside the cottage, and the Dalkeith to Penicuik
cross-country footpath and cycle-track is just a quarter of a mile away.
There are numerous interesting walks in the neighbourhood offering a
variety of fine scenery away from busy roads. Rosslyn Chapel is only 3
miles away and Rosslyn Glen is a wonderful place to
explore on foot.
The cottage is
fully accessible by public transport – it is not necessary to bring a
car. Please note that the cottage is totally non-smoking and that no
pets are accepted. |
